ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀਆ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਠ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੰਗਤ (ਸਰਧਾਲੂ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ) ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਐਸਐਮਬੀ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰਬਾਦ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਓਨ ‘ਤੇ ਪੰਜ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਕੈਦ ਅਤੇ 10 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਤੱਕ ਜੁਰਮਾਨੇ ਦੇ ਘੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਓਨ ‘ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਐਕਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿੱਖ ਰਹਿਤ ਮਰਯਾਦਾ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਵਜੋਂ ਦੇ ਘੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਗਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਡਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਓਨ ‘ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਮਰਯਾਦਾ ਦਾ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਦਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਅੰਦਰੂਨੀ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਜਿੱਠਣ ਲਈ ਸ੍ਰੀ

Former cricketer-turned-Rajya Sabha member Harbhajan Singh stunned the Aam Aadmi Party and stirred Punjab’s political pot by accusing AAP of “selling” Rajya Sabha tickets.

Responding to constant trolling by AAP and protests outside his Jalandhar home, Harbhajan Singh, aka Bhajji, said today: “To those calling me a traitor, first ask your own people how much the Punjab Rajya Sabha seat was sold for. If they don’t tell you, I’ll tell you who took how much in bribes and from whom.” Harbhajan is among seven Rajya Sabha members elected by AAP who joined BJP last month. Since then, he has faced criticism from AAP, with protests outside his house and “traitor” painted on its walls. Bhajji’s remarks came in response to a tweet by AAP leader Devinder Yadav, who called him a traitor and asked why he had not resigned from the Rajya Sabha if he was criticising the party that made him an MP. “Why didn’t you resign from the Rajya Sabha seat he gave you? Joining BJP, which is responsible for the deaths of more than 800 farmers from Punjab — what kind of compulsion was that for you? How much did you price your con-science at? I heard BJP bid Rs 25 crore each for traitors. Is that true?” Yadav wrote.

Replying to him, Bhajji said, “When the time comes, every word of yours will be answered. I haven’t insulted any of your leaders. Why should I dirty my tongue? To those calling me a traitor, first ask your own people how much the Punjab Rajya Sabha seat was sold for. If they don’t tell you, I’ll tell you who took what bribe and from whom, and how someone was made a minis-ter or a pawn to loot Punjab and deliver benefits to ‘Lala’. Punjab has been loot-ed and devoured,” he alleged. Bhajji added, “It was the political party that burned my effigy outside my house and wrote ‘traitor’ on it. Common people don’t do such things.

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਸਫਾਈ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਏ ਕੂੜੇ ਦੇ ਢੇਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਸਫਾਈ ਵੀ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਤੱਕ ਪੂਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਸਫਾਈ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਫਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਸੁਚਾਰੂ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲਣ ਲੱਗਣਗੇ। ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਗੁਰਦਿੱਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੇਖੋਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਸਫਾਈ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲ ਹੈ।

The CBI has arrested another key accused who was the source of the NEET-UG 2026 Physics question paper leak. Manisha Sanjay Havaldar, currently employed at Seth Hiralal Saraf Prashala, Pune, was arrested after thorough interrogation by CBI. The agency said Havaldar was involved in the NEET-UG 2026 process and was appointed as an expert by National Testing Agency (NTA). She had full access to the Physics question papers. In April 2026, she shared several questions from the Physics section of the exam with co-accused Manisha Mandhare, who was arrested on May 16. The questions she shared matched those in the NEET-UG 2026 Physics question paper sets.

ਦਸੂਹਾ, 22 ਮਈ (ਤਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ)- ਦਸੂਹਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਨਗਰ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਦਸੂਹਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਤਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸਮੁੱਚੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਪੱਬਾਂ ਭਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਪੀ ਏ ਸੀ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੀਲੂ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਭੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੀਲੂ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਬੈਠਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਭੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੀਲੂ ਗਿੱਲਜੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇੱਕ ਬੀਮਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਾਰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਚੋਣ ਲੜ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਰਡ ਨੰਬਰ 13 ਤੋਂ ਮਹਿਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਜਸਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਕਾਲੜਾ ਦੀ ਧਰਮ ਪਤਨੀ ਬੀਬੀ ਕੁਲਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ, ਵਾਰਡ ਨੰ. 14 ਵਿੱਚ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਯੂਥ ਆਗੂ ਗੋਪਾ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਜਪੂਤ ਤੇ ਵਾਰਡ ਨੰਬਰ 8 ਤੋਂ ਯੂਥ ਆਗੂ ਰਾਜਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਚੋਟੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਦਰਬਾਰੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਵੋਟ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਪੂਰਾ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਲਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਡੋਰ ਟੂ ਡੋਰ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਾਮਬੰਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਜ਼ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday said the government had to take “tough decisions” after irregularities were detected in the conduct of the NEET-UG, asserting that the authorities did not want even a single deserving student to lose their rightful seat because of the “examination mafia”.

He also asserted that the government is committed to ensuring that the re-test scheduled to be held on June 21 remains “100 per cent error-free”.

Addressing the Jagran Bharat Education Conclave 2026, Pradhan said around 22 lakh students have suffered “mental anguish” due to the controversy surrounding the medical-entrance exam and the government is committed to fixing the system.

“Twenty-two lakh children have gone through immense mental anguish. Understanding that anguish and taking responsibility, I am saying this today, we had to take some tough decisions,” he said.

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Undergraduate) for admissions in medical courses held on May 3 was cancelled by the National Testing Agency (NTA) recently amid allegations of paper leak. The matter is being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and a re-test is scheduled to be held on June 21. Pradhan said the government decided to cancel the examination after finding that “some assessments had been compromised”. “We did not want even a single student to be deprived of their rightful seat because of the conspiracy of those involved in irregularities in the education system and the examination mafia,” he said.

The minister acknowledged the criticism over the handling of the issue but said the government is prepared to face the challenge. “We are facing criticism and challenges, and I accept that. But it is our responsibility to set the system right. It is not our duty to shut our eyes and turn away from the problem,” he said.

The education minister further said the government is committed to ensuring a smoother conduct of the re-examination scheduled on June 21.

“For the examination scheduled on June 21, it is our responsibility to ensure that it is 100 per cent error-free,” he said.
