ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ, 23 ਮਈ (ਪੰਜਾਬ ਟਾਇਮਜ਼ ਬਿਊਰੋ)- ਉੱਤਰਾਖੰਡ ਸਥਿਤ ਲਗਭਗ 15 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਫੁੱਟ ਦੀ ਉਚਾਈ ‘ਤੇ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹੇਮਕੁੰਟ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ 2026 ਅੱਜ ਰਸਮੀ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਖਾਲਸਾਈ ਰਵਾਇਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਜਿੱਥੇ ਅੱਜ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰੇ ਦੇ ਕਪਾਟ ਖੋਲ੍ਹੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਲਗਭਗ 6500 ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕਿਆ। ਪੰਜ ਪਿਆਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਮੁੱਖ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਨੇ ਪਾਵਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਖਆਸਨ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਭਾਰਤੀ ਫੌਜ ਦੇ ਬੈਂਡ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਬਦੀ ਧੁਨਾਂ ਵਜਾਈਆਂ। ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਤਿਨਾਮ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਜਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਵਨ ਸਰੂਪ ‘ਤੇ ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਖਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਵਰਖਾ ਪਈ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰੀ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸੀ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸੰਗਤ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੁਖਮਨੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ ਪਾਠ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਜ਼ਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉੱਤਰਾਖੰਡ ਵਿਖੇ ਚਾਰ ਧਾਮ ਯਾਤਰਾ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਰੀਨਾਥ, ਕੇਦਾਰਨਾਥ, ਗੰਗੋਤਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਮਨੋਤਰੀ ਮੰਦਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੈ, ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ।

ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ, 23 ਮਈ- ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮਾਰਕੋ ਰੂਬੀਓ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਡੋਨਲਡ ਟਰੰਪ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਆਉਣ ਦਾ ਰਸਮੀ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਦੋਵਾਂ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਹੋਈ ਇਸ ਉੱਚ ਪੱਧਰੀ ਬੈਠਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ, ਵਪਾਰ, ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ, ਰਣਨੀਤਕ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਇੰਡੋ-ਪੈਸੇਫਿਕ (ਹਿੰਦ-ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਂਤ) ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਸਮੇਤ ਕਈ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਵਿਸਥਾਰਪੂਰਵਕ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਦੀ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਰਾਨ ਸੰਕਟ ਵਰਗੇ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਵੀ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਹੋਈ। ਇਸ ਮਹਿਮ ਬੈਠਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਐਸ. ਜੈਸ਼ੰਕਰ, ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰ (ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਏ.) ਅਜੀਤ ਡੋਵਾਲ, ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਰਾਜਦੂਤ ਸਮੇਤ ਹੋਰ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਪੂਰਬ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ। ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮਾਰਕੋ ਰੂਬੀਓ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਭਾਰਤ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਡੋਨਲਡ ਟਰੰਪ ਦੇ ਚੀਨ ਦੌਰੇ ਦੇ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ 7 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਫੇਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਚਰਚਾਵਾਂ ਛਿੜ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਰੂਬੀਓ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਭਾਰਤ ਫੇਰੀ ਸਿਰਫ ਇੱਕ ਆਮ ਸਫ਼ਾਰਤੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਸਗੋਂ ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ‘ਡੈਮੇਜ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਮਿਸ਼ਨ’ ਵੀ ਹੈ। ਨਿਊਯਾਰਕ ਟਾਈਮਜ਼ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਟਰੰਪ ਦੇ ਚੀਨ ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਏ ਚੀਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਨਵੀਂ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਪੇਂਟਾਗਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੌਰੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਟਰੰਪ ਨੇ ਚੀਨੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਸ਼ੀ ਜਿਨਪਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਤਾਰੀਫ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਮਹਾਨ ਨੇਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਖਾਸ ਦੋਸਤ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੁਣ ਭਾਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਤੁਲਨ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਹ ਕਦਮ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਰਾਨ-ਅਮਰੀਕਾ-ਇਜ਼ਰਾਇਲ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਤਣਾਅ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਦੀ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਡੋਨਲਡ ਟਰੰਪ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਇਸ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸੌਂਪਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਆਉਣ ਦਾ ਸੱਦਾ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੈ।

Manisha Sanjay Havaldar, principal of a Pune school arrested in the NEET-UG paper leak case, allegedly shared examination-related questions and content with a few students for money, the CBI told a court here, sources said on Sunday. The federal agency made the submission while seeking her transit remand, they said. The Central Bureau of Intelligence (CBI) arrested Havaldar on Friday, calling her another source of the alleged paper leak. Havaldar, the principal of Seth Hiralal Saraf Prashala, worked as an empanelled translator for physics for NEET UG-2026. Following her arrest, she was produced before a court in Pune and is currently in transit remand. She is likely to be produced in a court in Delhi on Monday. The CBI informed the Pune court that its investigation into the case had revealed that Havaldar, in collusion with botany teacher Manisha Mandhare, now in custody, allegedly shared NEET-related questions and content with a few students in exchange for monetary benefits. Sources said the CBI told the court that handwritten notes containing NEET-related questions were prepared and retained by Havaldar during her NTA (National Testing Agency) assignment.

Both sides discuss early conclusion of the interim trade agreement: Jaishankar

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Sunday said the pending India-US trade deal is on the “verge” of happening. Rubio was addressing a joint press conference with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in New Delhi after the two held a bilateral meeting covering multiple issues of technology and energy, among others.

“We are on the verge of making that happen,” Rubio said when asked about the pending trade deal between the two countries. In the absence of a structured deal, India is paying higher tariffs for goods entering the US and some of it is linked to buying Russian crude. Rubio said the US is hopeful that the US Trade Representative can visit India very soon.

“We have made tremendous progress, and I think we’re going to wind up with a trade agreement between the US and India,” he said, adding that it would be enduring and beneficial to both sides. Jaishankar said the two sides today spoke about the value of concluding at an early date the final text of the interim agreement regarding reciprocal and mutually beneficial trade.

“This will be an important step towards a comprehensive bilateral trade agreement which was envisaged during Prime Minister Modi’s visit in February 2025,” he said. Rubio, responding to another question, said there is $20 billion of Indian investment in the US economy, and that this number continues to grow. On trade, Rubio clarified that it is not about India specifically, but about the US.

“President (Donald Trump) did not say let’s figure out a way to create friction with India over trade.” He said the President had stated that “we have a trade situation involving the US economy that doesn’t work moving forward. There’s a huge imbalance that’s built up, and it needs to be addressed,” and that he pursued it from a global perspective.

‘Iran can never possess nuclear weapon Hormuz reopening part of talks’: Rubio

Detailing the terms of the expected peace deal between the United States and Iran, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Sunday said Iran can never possess a nuclear weapon and that President Donald Trump remains firm on the issue. He also said that reopening the Strait of Hormuz forms part of the negotiations, without any toll being imposed on ships using the route. Referring to the Strait of Hormuz, Rubio said, “This is an international waterway; they don’t own it. What they are doing now is basically threatening to disrupt commercial vessels using an international waterway.”
